ContentBot ("we", "our", "the Service") is operated by SmartOwner HQ, a sole proprietorship based in India. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account data — email address and password (hashed) when you sign up
  • Brand voice data — the niche, tone, and voice rules you enter during onboarding
  • Generated content — posts created by the AI on your behalf, stored in your account
  • Usage data — number of posts generated per month, plan type
  • Telegram chat ID — only if you choose to link your Telegram account
  • Payment data — handled entirely by our payment processor; we never store card details

2. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide and improve the ContentBot service
  • To send transactional emails (account confirmation, billing receipts)
  • To enforce plan limits and prevent abuse
  • To respond to support requests

We do not sell your data. We do not use your brand voice data or generated content to train AI models.

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored on Supabase (PostgreSQL), hosted on AWS infrastructure. The Service runs on Railway. Both providers maintain SOC 2 compliance.

4. Third-Party Services

  • Supabase — authentication and database
  • Anthropic — AI content generation (your prompts are sent to Claude API; Anthropic's privacy policy applies)
  • Razorpay / Stripe — payment processing
  • Telegram — optional bot integration
  • Resend — transactional email delivery

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing hello@smartownerhq.com. We will process deletion requests within 14 days.

6. Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. No third-party tracking cookies are used.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. Contact us at hello@smartownerhq.com.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. Significant changes will be communicated via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
